Our Team

 

Mark P. Boulanger, CPA, CVA

Managing Partner

Mark joined Raiche & Company in 2004 and was admitted as a Partner of the firm in January 2008. Mark is a Certified Public Accountant and a 1993 graduate of Husson College with a Masters of Science in Business and a Bachelors degree in Public Accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Mark concentrates his efforts in the areas of construction, hospitality, manufacturers, software developers and professional services.

Furthermore, he concentrates much of his efforts in the areas of tax planning, tax compliance, business valuation and management advisory services. He believes that taking an active role with these clients enables them to allow their boards to make better decisions and operate more efficiently.

Mark focuses a lot of his energy on the communities in which we serve. He has served or is serving as a board member and/or Treasurer for the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club of Dover and Greater Seacoast Community Health. Mark believes that being a resource to the communities that we serve has been a tremendous asset to his personal and professional growth over the past twenty years.

Mark Boulanger is also a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and a member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. Through his specialty and experience as a CVA, Mark is extremely qualified to assist clients, attorneys, and other professionals in determining the value of closely held businesses. Business valuations opined by Mark can be used to substantiate business value in Estate and Gift tax issues, succession planning and litigation support, as well as many other uses. 

Mark assumed managing partner responsibilities upon Lawrence Raiche's retirement in April 2023.

 

Dave Verno, CPA

Partner

Dave Verno, CPA, Partner at Raiche & Company CPAs, PLLC

Dave has 30+ years of accounting experience that includes time in both public accounting and private industry. He has worked for an international public accounting firm, a large regional public accounting firm, two publicly traded corporations, and was a partner for over ten years with a large New Hampshire public accounting firm. Dave was promoted to partner at Raiche & Company in January 2023. Dave is an experienced CPA with a demonstrated history of assisting privately held businesses, nonprofit organizations, and individuals meet their financial goals. Skilled in tax, finance, accounting, budgeting and forecasting and with extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the tax code, Dave can be your resource to manage your business financial and tax needs.

Dave grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but has lived in New Hampshire for over 20 years. He is a strong entrepreneurial professional with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) focused in Accounting from Thiel College. He currently resides in Newmarket, New Hampshire. Dave is a member of the American Institute of Public Accountants and serves on the board of directors of the Wentworth-Douglass Hospital Foundation. Dave is an avid outdoorsman and his hobbies include golf, fly fishing, snowboarding, and hiking.

 

Michael P. D’Ascensao, CPA

Senior Manager

Michael D'Ascensao, CPA, Senior Manager at Raiche & Company CPAs, PLLC

Michael joined Raiche & Company in October 2018. Michael is a Certified Public Accountant with over 12 years of experience and a graduate of Bentley University with Bachelors of Science in Accounting and a Masters of Science in Taxation (MST). He is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Michael began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Boston, focusing on private company services, private equity, real estate, and high net worth individuals. In 2011, he began working with a highly specialized firm in Boston that concentrated on the tax consulting & compliance needs of closely held businesses, private equity investors, and affluent families.

After joining Raiche & Company, Michael’s primary focus has been working with local businesses and families throughout the Seacoast. Through careful analysis of new tax law, Michael assists clients in navigating the unique challenges facing businesses, individuals, and their families who operate in an environment where tax law is continuously changing. Michael believes this dynamic environment presents an opportunity to provide excellent service and value to his clients.

Michael is originally from Massachusetts but attended high school in Southern New Hampshire. It was during this time that he realized that he wanted to live and work in New Hampshire one day, and in 2015 he moved with his family into the seacoast area. In the past, he has volunteered with the animal rescue league of NH and donates his time to assist low-income families with their tax needs through the IRS VITA Program. When not in the office or volunteering in the community, Michael can be found spending time with his family or fishing in his canoe on local ponds.

 

Tanya Ouellette, CPA

Senior Manager

Tanya Ouellette, CPA, Senior Manager at Raiche & Company CPAs, PLLC

Tanya is a Certified Public Accountant with over 20 years of public accounting experience.  Tanya grew up in the lakes region of New Hampshire and fell in love with the seacoast when she attended the University of New Hampshire for her undergraduate degree.  After graduating from UNH, Tanya worked in Boston for a Big Four international accounting firm. Tanya worked in Boston for 10 years, focusing her attention on auditing financial statements of financial service organizations. While at Ernst & Young, LLP, Tanya pursued her Masters in Taxation at Bentley College and graduated in 2005.  In 2009, Tanya decided to find a job more local to her house and has been working on the seacoast of NH focusing on tax planning, tax preparation and financial statement preparation ever since.  Tanya enjoys going to the beach, reading and gardening in her spare time. 

 

Steven A. Kiander, CPA

Supervisor

Steve Kiander joined Raiche in November of 2021 and brings with him over 25 years of accounting experience that combines 10 total years in public accounting with 15 years of government accounting experience. Steve has worked as both a financial administrator and auditor with the State of New Hampshire and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He spent three years as a team member compiling the Comprehensive Financial Annual Report for New Hampshire and Massachusetts, under the direction of KPMG. In addition, Steve has audited an array of government programs for compliance with both state and federal fund expenditures, which included reporting to the New Hampshire legislature and OMB A-133 compliance reporting.

Steve’s role at Raiche & Company is providing excellent customer service with a focus on personal, trust and small business taxes with a goal of education of clients to ensure they develop an understanding of the benefits afforded them by the internal revenue code.

Steve attended the University of New Hampshire for his undergraduate degree in Business Administration and continued his education at New Hampshire College, now known as Southern New Hampshire University, which made him eligible for CPA licensure.

Steve has been very generous of his time, volunteering over the past five years as Treasurer of the New Hampshire Snowmobile Association and helping local non-profits raise funds through various fundraising activities. Steve lives outside of Concord with his family. Steve’s activities include spending time with his family, camping, bike-riding, and restoring classic cars & snowmobiles.

 

Danielle M. Long, CPA

Supervisor

Danielle Long, CPA, Superior at Raiche & Company CPAs, PLLC

Danielle joined the firm in 2016 as a Staff Accountant in our Dover office and quickly excelled in the client service area on various types of engagements.

Danielle is a Certified Public Accountant and a 2004 graduate from Stonehill College, Easton, Massachusetts, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a minor in Spanish. After graduating from Stonehill College, Danielle worked in Boston at New England’s largest regional full-service accounting, auditing, tax and business advisory firm. During her 6 years in Boston, Danielle focused on auditing financial statements of construction companies, employee benefit plans, and various service organizations. At Raiche & Company, Danielle now provides tax preparation, financial statement preparation, and payroll services for our clients.

When Danielle is not in the office, she enjoys water sports, running, and spending time with her family.

 

Brooke Pasake, CPA

Supervisor

Brooke joined Raiche & Company in January 2018 as part of the firm’s internship program in collaboration with the University of New Hampshire. Brooke is a graduate of UNH with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Masters of Science in Accountancy. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of both the New Hampshire Society of Certified Public Accountants (NHSCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Her roles at Raiche & Company allowed her to grow within the firm and gave her insight into the processes and high standard of quality which is essential to great client service. Having started her career with Raiche & Company, Brooke has a unique perspective on the needs of her clients and possesses a thorough understanding of the attention to detail required to deliver on those needs. In addition to working with individuals and businesses, Brooke also provides Quickbooks advisory including one-on-one training, best practices, and on-going assistance and questions.

During her free-time, Brooke fosters her creativity. On the weekends you’ll find her doing an array of crafts, whether it be crocheting, embroidering, or woodburning. During the summer, she makes it a priority to volunteer at the Home & Hobby exhibit at the New Jersey State Fair, of which she has been attending with her father since she was very young.

 

Crystal Lesperance

Payroll Coordinator

Crystal Lesperance, Payroll Coordinator at Raiche & Company CPAs, PLLC

Crystal joined Raiche & Company in November 2018. She previously worked in the banking industry for over 18 years in operations progressing to become an ACH Director. Through her knowledge and experience in electronic banking, Crystal transitioned to payroll processing during the last several years.

After joining Raiche & Company, Crystal leveraged her banking & payroll experience to become our Payroll Coordinator where she manages all aspects of the payroll process including processing payroll for clients, remitting tax deposits, filing quarterly and preparing and filing yearly tax reports.

Recognizing the administrative burden that payroll placed upon businesses, Crystal strives to streamline the process to create efficiencies and bring peace of mind for clients of the firm. This allows our clients to focus on managing their businesses more effectively. For clients receiving other services provided by Raiche & Company, utilizing an in-house payroll service allows for more efficient coordination among all aspects of a client’s accounting and tax needs. Over the years Crystal has served on her local School Board and volunteered her time in community functions. She enjoys spending time with her family, camping, hiking and many other outdoor activities.

 

Our Founder

 

Lawrence R. Raiche, CPA

Mr. Raiche is the President of Raiche & Company CPA's, P.A. and has been practicing public accounting for over 33 years. He is a graduate of Boston College, Chestnut Hill, MA. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the New Hampshire Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Larry concentrates his efforts in the areas of real estate development, professional service firms, the hospitality industry, and the construction industry. He is currently focuses a large portion of his time performing cost segregation studies on real estate properties which maximize the allowable depreciation deductions. Through this service, he has assisted commercial real estate owners defer hundreds of thousands of tax dollars, enabling them to grow their business and take significant strides at growing the southern New Hampshire region.

Mr. Raiche volunteers a significant amount of time to St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Dover. He has been actively involved in the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce and is currently on the Board of Trustees for the Wentworth Douglass Hospital Foundation.
